Consulting targets the following areas:

                     File review 

  This market is aimed at self-insured or mutual funds which need an independent review of open files for reserves, claims handling and case review.  In many cases, the company adjuster handling the files is also handling a large number of files for other clients or lacks the experience to handle the Aunusual@ workers= compensation file.  Through these audits, Olde South can organize the file, set goals for settlement, offer return to work strategies,  and set proper claim reserves.

                   Problem case resolutions

  Studies have shown in a number of cases, the adjusting company and claimant/claimant attorney have personality conflicts which impede settlements.  Through years of experience, we have dealt with most Attorney=s in the state and they are aware of our fair evaluations of claims.  AThe ability to reason with and explain@ why the claim has a specific dollar value has lead to countless fair and agreeable settlements.  A defense attorney=s average cost is $125.00 per hour, and he will put in a minimum of 10 hours to resolve a case.  At a combined billing rate of $65.00 per hour, we are less expensive and move the file faster, for those files which do not necessarily need to be litigated.  Our knowledge of alternative settlements and access to these tools, help bring problem or difficult cases to conclusions.

                    Education and knowledge  

  Through years of experience we are aware and know all the players in the WC field, i.e. Judges, Lawyers, etc.  There is a possibility you could conceivably win a case in one jurisdiction and lose the same type case in another.  Our consultants have years in the field meeting with Judges, Attorneys and Doctors.  We know which Attorney=s and Doctors have credibility in each jurisdiction.  We also know what defense Attorney has the best records with each Judge.

                    Settlement value review for plaintiff attorneys

  An expanded market area for Olde South would be in the field of Workers Compensation case review for plaintiff attorneys. (Outside of any potential client conflicts.)  This could assist an extremely busy Attorney or help educate an inexperienced Attorney in the Workers Compensation arena.  This specific field focuses on the client and the monetary value of each claim and what benefits the client is entitled by the state statute.

                     Reinsurance review

  Reinsurance companies continually conduct audits of TPA=s and Carriers as required under reinsuring treaties.  Olde South has the ability to provide on site file audits for the reinsurer through tactics which are less expensive than the re-insurer could do for themselves.
